Tell Congress to Support Medicaid Funding!

As a current Medicaid recipient who has medical issues and depends on Medicaid, I believe it is my duty to share this.

From my doctor's office at Howard Brown.:

The House of Representatives is considering cutting healthcare spending by no less than $880 billion. These cuts could include changes to the way the federal government pays for Medicaid, which provides healthcare for almost 80 million people in the U.S. This will disproportionately impact people living with HIV as Medicaid covers 40% of people living with HIV in the U.S. and is the largest source of federal funding for HIV prevention, care, and treatment.

Congress must consider the detrimental impact of healthcare funding cuts, including funding cuts to Medicaid! This funding is critical in the work that Howard Brown does to support some of our most vulnerable populations including LGBTQ+ people, children, the disabled, elderly, and those in rural areas. Contact your members of Congress to oppose ANY cuts to Medicaid during the budget reconciliation process!
